Pricing

Examination/Evaluation of Mouth

Exam, No Dental Work

N/C - 60

**Farm call may be applicable for long distances calls. 


General Dentistry

Young Horse Float

75 - 150

This includes checking for retained caps, cap extraction, wolf tooth removal, minor floating.

Performance Float

140 - 200

This includes a full dental examination, floating and bit seats for riding/ performance horses. Reduction of canines on geldings/stallions. Tartar removal. Fees depend on the condition of the mouth. 

Geriatric Float

100 - 200

This includes rebalancing mouths, incisor reductions, minor extractions, etc. Major extractions and advanced molar work may be additional.

Significant Correction

50 - 100

A horse requiring significant correction of large malocclusions will have a $50 - $100 up charge. This is in addition to the cost of a regular dental. This includes any malocclusions deemed "large" by Dr. Darrow. 


Other Costs

Farm Call

60 - 100

$50 North Central Florida area, call may increase in relation to distance travelled. 

Sedation

50 - 100

$50 for first dose. $25 for each additional dose. 


Occasionally horses are done without sedation for a medical reason. Sedation is used for the comfort of the patient and the safety of the veterinarian and handler. Charges depend on the dose given and repeat sedation.

**Discounts may be given for youth groups, riding clubs, pony club, 4-H and large groups of horses. Please discuss with Dr. Darrow prior to visit.
